Miami Dade Sexual Assault Response Initiative

(MDSARI)

MDSARI is the first program of its kind in Miami-Dade County led by healthcare providers in partnership with first responders. The initiative aims to improve county emergency response for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Our training brings survivor informed perspectives alongside a trauma informed approach which is proven to streamline response, increase service coordination, and support healing and recovery for survivors.

A trauma-informed perspective informs the hands-on care provided by SANEs as well as the practical services that advocates offer to holistically address survivors' real needs.
