Miami-Dade Sexual Assault Response Initiative (MDSARI)
First-of-its-kind healthcare-based response to sexual violence in Miami-Dade County. MDSARI was developed by forensic nurses to address the critical gap in care and support for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human-trafficking. While Miami-Dade is home to exceptional institutions serving survivors, we know insurmountable barriers to timely trauma-informed care remain.
